“Creating a new generation of leaders”

Mission & Core Values

The Melrose School is focused on developing CORE values and the types of knowledge and skills that will positively IMPACT the development of the whole child and their capacity to thrive as local and global citizens of the 21st century.  The Melrose School focuses on sustaining a community that promotes:

  • Integrity
  • Motivation
  • Perseverance
  • Accountability
  • Commitment
  • Teamwork

Our Commitment

PS/MS 29X is a 3K-8th grade school community that knows and honors the individual student by offering multiple pathways to achieve social, physical, academic, and personal success. As we continue to rewrite the narrative in support of a deep culture of school spirit and inclusiveness, The Melrose School now boasts a Wolf mascot to promote unification. We strongly believe that every scholar equally contributes to our school community in their own unique way and should be presented with multiple opportunities to represent and showcase their talents. Through a culturally responsive-sustaining education and a wide variety of extra curricular sports, activities, and clubs, our scholars demonstrate our core values (Integrity, Motivation, Perseverance, Accountability, Commitment, Teamwork) and advocate for themselves and those around them.
